Thanks to our guest from Renown, Mary Ann Brown, for discussing these usually heavy topics with us...Advance Directives and Palliative Care.

Both are important to have for good reason, and no better time than to responsibly take care of it now so your loved ones aren't left guessing what yoru wishes are!

To clarify:

Advance Directive is "decide in advance what medical treatment you want to receive in the event you become physically or mentally unable to communicate your wishes."

Palliative Care is specialized medical care for patients with advanced stages of cancer and other serious illnesses....not to be confused with hospice care, [which] is meant specifically for those approaching the last stages of life, while palliative care is appropriate for any stage of a serious illness."
