FOX Sets Premiere Date for The X-Files Season 11

FOX has announced a new premiere date for the network, with Season 11 of The X-Files set to premiere Wednesday, January 3 at 8 PM.  The next chapter of The X-Files once again will be executive-produced by creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning in their roles as iconic FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Tracee Ellis Ross To Host The 2017 American Music Awards

“Black-ish” star Tracee Ellis Ross will host the American Music Awards this year.  It will be the first time that the Emmy-nominated actress will host the awards show. This Sunday’s show will be a big night for the actress and her family. Her mother, Diana Ross, will be honored with the 2017 AMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and is also slated to perform live after receiving her award.

The “One Tree Hill” Cast Has Issued A Joint Statement Accusing Its Showrunner Of Sexual Harassment

Eighteen members of One Tree Hill cast and crew, including actors Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz, have accused showrunner Mark Schwahn of sexual harassment. The creation of the letter came about after Audrey Wauchope, a former writer for One Tree Hill tweeted over the weekend in which she detailed the alleged inappropriate behavior she and other women experienced at the hands of an unnamed showrunner while working on the show.

Amazon Is Making A ‘Lord of the Rings’ Prequel Series

Amazon will produce a new “The Lord of the Rings” TV series, the company announced Monday.  Amazon acquired multi-season, global television rights to the project. The show will be a prequel to the J.R.R. Tolkien book “The Fellowship of the Ring,” and is based on new story lines. It will be available for Amazon Prime members. There is also the potential that the show could also lead to a spin-off series.

Taylor Swift Announces 2018 U.S. Stadium Tour

Days after releasing her sixth studio album, Reputation, Taylor Swift has announced a 27-date U.S. stadium tour for 2018. The tour will launch on May 8 in Arizona and run through October. Swift is set to tour through the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, with additional dates to be revealed in the coming weeks. Tickets for the North American sting go on-sale to the public on Dec. 13.
