Actress Felicity Huffman was arrested Tuesday morning by law enforcement for her involvement in a bribery scheme to get her daughter into elite colleges. Fuller House star Lori Loughlin and her spouse Mossimo Gianulli are also charged in the nationwide indictment. Huffman and Loughlin are being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. Loughlin’s husband, Mr. Gianulli, has also been arrested. Loughlin was out of the country due to work, and not arrested as of press time.

Showtime has canceled the comedy series “SMILF” after two seasons. In addition, ABC studios, which produces the show, has suspended a development deal with its creator, star and executive producer Frankie Shaw. The announcements came after a December story in The Hollywood Reporter that detailed allegations of abusive on-set behavior and violations of industry rules by Shaw, who also directs some episodes of the show. Shaw denied the allegations.
