DMX memorial service to be live streamed on YouTube this weekend

DMX’s team confirmed Wednesday that the late rapper will be honored at a private memorial service Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn that will livestream on YouTube at 4 p.m. EDT. In addition, a private funeral will be held at a New York City church Sunday. The celebration will broadcast live on BET at 2:30 p.m. EDT. Attendance for both events will be limited to family and close friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HBO Max shares 7-minute opening scene from upcoming “Mortal Kombat” reboot

HBO Max has shared the first 7 minutes of its anticipated Mortal Kombat reboot, days before its official release. The clip was shared on the streaming service’s YouTube page, the film’s Instagram and via the film’s Twitter account at 12 p.m. on Tuesday.  In the 7-minute opening, which is set in Japan’s Hanzo Hasashi Compound in the year 1617, fight scenes ensue as a man, Hanzo Hasashi, finds his family attacked by Sub-Zero as he steps away momentarily. 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards announces nominees

The nominees were announced for the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which will be taking place over two nights on May 16 and May 17. The ceremony will be broadcast from the Palladium in Los Angeles on May 16 to honor the best in film and television. The network will then present the first ever MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted on May 17, which will focus on reality television.
