Five Random Facts For Tuesday

Here are some random facts for you.

 

1.  Abraham Lincoln’s son Robert wasn’t at the theater when his dad was assassinated in 1865, but he was there when two OTHER presidents were killed.  He was with James Garfield at a train station in Washington D.C. when he was assassinated in 1881, and he was in the same building in New York when William McKinley was assassinated in 1901.

 

2.  For the past five years, every “Law & Order:  SVU” episode has had a title that’s two words.  And the number of letters in each title matches the season.  So now that it’s the 17th season, every title is two words and 17 letters.

 

3.  China drinks 38% of the alcohol in the world, but nothing you’ve ever heard of.  99.5% of all alcohol they drink is a liquor called baijiu.

 

4.  “Pennsylvania” is misspelled on the Liberty Bell.  It only has one of the first two n’s.  It wasn’t wrong at the time the bell was made, because a few different spellings were used, but it’s been wrong since they settled on one official spelling.

 

5.  “The Departed” is the only remake that’s ever won an Oscar for Best Picture.
