Originally known as “K-Reno”, in the mid-1990s KRNO adopted a focused mix of Adult Contemporary music and DJ presentation and changed its name to “Sunny 106.9”. Although that remains a key part of our identity as Reno’s “Sunny” radio station, in 2014 we increased the amount of music we play with 30-minute blocks of continuous music every workday.
